New staff join the service and parts teams at Nelson Bays Motor Group

A lot has happened here recently with the completion of the workshop extension and just the final hoist fitouts to be completed. We look forward to this being up and running. Our new roof adds an additional 16 car parks which should help our car parking issues!
 
We advise that Ross Walker (Service Manager), and Robert Mabon (Parts Manager) have both decided to step back and retain different roles within the Company after being loyal employees and giving many years of service to the industry.

The new responsibilities of running the departments will be taken over by the following:

Service Manager – Kim Hogarth (pictured left).

We would like to introduce Kim Hogarth as our New Service Department Manager. 

Kim was born and raised in Nelson until leaving to join the NZ Army at age 18 to train as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic. After leaving the Army Kim worked in the Heavy Transport and Agricultural Industries for a few years before then serving in the NZ Air Force as a Mechanic. After leaving the Airforce he completed a Diploma, Degree and Postgraduate Diploma University qualifications in various subjects, mostly while still in full time employment. During this time Kim competed as a high level middle and long distance runner representing New Zealand at various World Championships and winning 12 New Zealand Athletics titles.

After returning to Nelson in 2008 Kim meet his wife, Freya and now have three beautiful girls who keep us pretty busy. An outdoor's person, Kim enjoys running, biking, kayaking and tramping and try to renovate their house between family and work commitments.

Having previously worked for the NZ Automobile Association since 2010, Kim has a strong commitment to professionalism, customer service and integrity. Kim looks forward to the challenge of managing the large service department team at Nelson Bays Motor Group and providing a outstanding service to our customers.

Parts Manager – Robert Blake (pictured right).

We would like to introduce Rob Blake as our New Parts Department Manager.

 Rob has come from one of the largest Holden and Nissan Dealers in Auckland, bringing his 15 years of spare parts knowledge and experience to our team which will strengthen our already strong and experienced parts team.

Rob has relocated to the sunny nelson for a change in lifestyle and for a place where he can enjoy the outdoors which will be at his fingertips instead of facing the long drive in traffic in the big smoke of Auckland.

Robs main hobbies are Rugby, Fishing, Hunting and Motorsport.
